Hard tile fails at the substrate, not the surface. We install uncoupling or crack-isolation membranes over concrete and respect movement joints instead of tiling straight across them.
Grout choice matters as much as tile: epoxy grout in kitchens, high-performance cement grout elsewhere, and colour approved against a real sample.
